Douglas, I’m not sure where other such photos may be, but we had one on the December 1990 "73 Amateur Radio Today cover (https://archive.org/details/73-magazine-1990-12 <https://archive.org/details/73-magazine-1990-12>). We were on Monhegan Island, Maine, and planned to make packet contact with the Space Shuttle. When the SAREX launch was scrubbed we just dinked around (a highly technical term) with my packet setup and a Lightning Bolt dual-band quad antenna we had for review. The article itself is on page 30 (https://archive.org/details/73-magazine-1990-12/page/n31/mode/1up <https://archive.org/details/73-magazine-1990-12/page/n31/mode/1up>).
I didn’t search through the archive for other publications, but it might turn up what you’re seeking. Here’s QST: https://archive.org/details/qst_50_00/QST_1969/ <https://archive.org/details/qst_50_00/QST_1969/> — Nuge — On May 6, 2022, at 01:11, Douglas Quagliana <[email protected]> wrote: > > I'm looking for a photo which was probably published in the ARRL handbook or > perhaps in an issue of QST showing a Model 100 being used with a TNC for (I > think) Field Day packet radio.
