The answer is yes. I have used digital recorders in the past to save programs and files onto. You just have to get the input volume and output volumes set correctly. If it is too quiet then it will not work and if it is too loud it has issues also. But once you have set that up it works fine. I have also used a computer with Audacity the free recording software to record programs. Tapes word as well. You just have to pause them manually if you do not have an input for the pause function. I have since switched to Jeff Birt's Backpack to save all my files to SD cards.
