Good evening,
I’m a new owner of an M100, after purchasing it in a lot with a number of
accessories. One of those was the Realistic CTR-41 tape drive, the model that
shipped with the first run of TRS-80 Model 1s, and it needs new belts. It seems
this model was quickly replaced by a number of other models, and I can’t seem
to find much info on this drive, and my cheap-o calipers aren’t accurate enough
to get a good measurement of these stretched-out belts. Based on what little
info I’ve been able to find, they appear to be imperial instead of metric, but
I truly have no idea. I *think* the belts are as follows, but my equipment is
so primitive, I’m probably wrong:
Main Belt: 10” diameter, square, 0.3”x0.4” cross-section
Secondary Belt: 6” diameter, square, 0.3”x0.3” cross-section
There is one ebay seller with a kit, but it’s almost $26 after shipping, and if
I can get the measurements, I’m sure I could track down the belts myself for
cheaper.

Thanks,
-vi
