Unfortunately, it's not as easy as adding DNS records and DKIM signing
software; DKIM has historically not playing well with mailing list software.
As (from failing memory) the mailing list is hosted by Dreamhost, this falls
predominantly within their bailiwick.

That Google require this is somewhat ironic, given the amount of spam coming
from their (controlled) domain has had quite a significant uptick in the past
year or so.

Sorry for the offtopic message, but I'm wondering if this is happening to just
me or everyone.

I haven't been getting M100 list messages for a while, but found some in my spam folder
with a warning that the mail was suspicious because it had not been authenticated. Both
Yahoo and Google started requiring DMARC+SPF+DKIM authentication recently. I notice that
bitchin100.com <http://bitchin100.com> has SPF but no DMARC or DKIM records
<https://easydmarc.com/tools/domain-scanner?domain=bitchin100.com> in its DNS.

I think setting up DKIM and DMARC should be something dreamhost should be able
to do for bitchin100 with some automated procedure, but I do not know.

If it has to be done manually, setting up DMARC should be easy using a generator
<https://dnschecker.org/dmarc-record-generator.php?query=bitchin100.com> which
will output something like:

*Type:*  TXT
*Host:* _dmarc.bitchin100.com <http://bitchin100.com>
*Value:* v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:[email protected]

However, adding DKIM manually <https://easydmarc.com/tools/dkim-record-generator> may
be trickier as I've not yet had to do that. If the mailing list (mailman) is running on a
Debian or Ubuntu host, then one could install OpenDKIM
<https://tecadmin.net/setup-dkim-with-postfix-on-ubuntu-debian/>.
