Well, that was about the most fun I've had in a while. This was my first
time to go to any retro convention ever and I expected it to be a couple
of tables with some propeller heads and what not, but it wasn't anything
like I was thinking - more like the old first Saturday, but retro. Lots
and lots and lots of tables with all kinds of cool gadgetry. An entire
floor of one building with nothing but Tandy stuff, too. Went to a
couple of workshops, one on digital electronics that was great fun -
Marcel Erz designed a fantastic digital trainer that we used to
implement a code guessing game using xnors, pull up, pull down
resistors, switches and flip flops - super slick and it worked. Also
went to Vince Briel's CHIP SBC building workshop and did a bunch of
soldering with supervision and expert help - learned a few new tricks -
anyway, wanted to close the loop and suggest that if you're on the fence
about attending one of these VCF things - I highly recommend going - too
much fun.
I didn't have my email with me and I couldn't remember who was coming
from the list, or I would have said howdy and welcomed y'all to my home
town (I attended 2nd grade about a mile from UTD). I hope you had as
good a time.

I will be there and Neil Blanchard as well. I'm flying in so my
exhibit is small. I think some will find it an interesting M100 item
though.

I'll be going. Also note that there is an entire room of
Tandy-only equipment.
