I run my M102 off a 6v lantern battery at home. Since I do most of my
programming / use while sitting in the living room watching TV where there
is no convenient wall socket. The battery sits on the floor under the end
table.

When on the go, I use the Energizer AA lithium batteries, which give about
3-4 times the run time compared to alkalines, so the extra expense is more
than covered. Or if I have the whole laptop case with me, I use a 4 D cell
holder or the AC adapter if I am near a wall outlet.

The other thing that works is a USB "Power Bank". Just modify a standard
USB "A" to "whatever" cable, cut the "whatever" end off and solder on an
appropriate "power barrel" connector (5.5mm O.D. x 2.1mm I.D.) observing
proper polarity (minus on the tip). The wires in the cable are usually "RED
(+)" and "BLACK (-)" but check before soldering on the connector. These can
be quite small and portable and are easily rechargeable.

Regards,
PeterN
