A Pelican-like hard case is fantastic for long-haul transporting or storing for long term. I find these pretty awkward to just run down to the park or coffeeshop or a friend's place but these look excellent for storage. Thanks for pointing out the inexpensive alternative to the major brands. I have a couple of significantly more fragile non-Tandy systems this would be perfect for!
