My wife did me a solid and asked me to zoom in with a camera. After doing so, I noticed that the contacts had residue on the leads. So, I did some cleaning with contact cleaner and a q-tip. This fixed all the keys.

Spent the next hours cleaning all the switches whether they needed it or not. Figured it is bound to happen with all of them.

Still, the replacement pads are on their way from amazon so, I'll have them in stock for future repairs.

The barrel battery was replaced too. It was a bit sobering how rusty my soldering skills have become.

Got a piece of old hardware that I used for honing my soldering skills in the past - will be pulling that sucker out of storage.

I have three dead key switches on my newly obtained 102. I inquired on another listserv and was provided a promising solution. Hoping yall could confirm. I'm concerned they would do the job for a while and then the adhesive would work free and make things worse.

these might work. or they might not. at least they aren't expensive

I believe there may be a liquid that can be painted on to restore
conductivity but I couldn't find it.

I already removed all the keycaps and inspected the solder joints. For complete measure, I reflowed the solder on one switcho. Still no effect. Next step is to remove the lid off the switch and try my luck. Hoping to find a spray-on solution.
