We use the Eclipse Workspace Mechanic[1] plugin and check the various
recorded preference files into scm along with other Eclipse configuration
files for code formatting, code templates, editor templates, etc.

Each developer can have additional local mechanic preference files for
personal settings like editor font size, etc.

It's not a complicated setup but it does require some tinkering once and a
while.
