Log message:
* Makefile.maint (web-manual): Give up on VPATH build during
distribution. But distributions are made so infrequently that
this is not too much of a hardship.
* Makefile.am (MAINTAINERCLEANFILES): Avoid error if lib/CVS/
exists.
