Has anyone beenseriously using the master branch with frozen files in the last 7 years?
Yep, I've had a a version of m4-1.9 from before the move to git as my main m4 for a very long time.
More recently (the last several months at least, though I haven't tested again in a few weeks), master seems to choke sometimes when used with autoconf, but I haven't had time to investigate. I'll bisect my way back to the guilty changeset next time I see it happen.
