It works normally for me at least.
My take is that your sensor is mounted upside down. I can't see any sane way
of detecting this in software and thus we need a quirk for your machine.
I spent my commute today developing a dmi-based approach to this.
Could you please issue "sudo dmidecode" in a terminal and send me the output
and I'll try to implement a fix for you.
