Hmm everything you describe here is know issue... But I really
appreciate your testing and feedback, because it is very useful for
development. Main problem is, we don't have any documentation from
sensor provider as well we don't have any documentation from Ali Corp.
so it is a little bit hard to identify right register for controlling
brightness,...  Erik yesterday fix that issue which is described in
this thread so I think you don't have to use m5602-s5k83a branch
anymore (what Erik? development branch is now m5602 isn't it?).

For any progress we need to do some revert engineering and I don't
have any experience with this unless my experiment with tweaking
{BRIDGE, M5602_XB_HSYNC_PARA which was amazingly success :-) And you?
Do you have any experience with this stuff?
