Hi,

For Gnome, you must create a file .gnomerc in your home with the lines
to export the variables.

My .gnomerc file :

export
LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/opt/webcam/libv4l-0.5.0/libv4lconvert:/opt/webcam/libv4l-0.5.0/libv4l2:/opt/webcam/libv4l-0.5.0/libv4l1"
export LD_PRELOAD="/opt/webcam/libv4l-0.5.0/libv4l1/v4l1compat.so"

Regards

Laurent BARRAILLE
