Hello, The AliM5602 and AliM5603c have one driver model identical developped by bisontech (an autistic compagny) ;-) CreativeLabs seems also to have information to develop its driver.
The choice of setting up the chip from .csr was probably made to ease the developpement of the window driver. The driver does some common 'init' things like uploading the microcode (m5603c only). Then it calls [sections] in .csr to complete tasks. Probably more easy to edit a text file than writting code. Note that the Ali5603c windows drivers contains most of the 'init' sequence found in .csr. Redundant, I don't know why. Instead the m5602 have little harcoded sequences in it. > I think this is a unnecessary step but Frank who develops that Because the Ali5602 have far less sensors recognized in itself than the Ali5603c driver, it is a good assume to say that there will be less available combination (ali5602/sensor) for it available. So, coding the URB sequence grabbed from usbsnoop is simple. And using the .csr for the aliM5603c and its long sensors list supposed to exist is better.
