I have msi ex700 laptop and here is my computer environment
Ubuntu 8.10, kernel 2.6.27-9-generic
libv4l 0.5.6-1~intrepid1
I compiled and installed module from subdirectory m5602-s5k4aa and
I copied C10H0121.bin and M1000CVd.inf found in firmware directory to
/lib/firmware/my_running_kernel. Web cam is working out of the box when
I switch it on. I test it on cheese 2.24.1-0ubuntu1 and it's working. It
didn't work on ekiga 2.0.12-0ubuntu5. But I copied S20F0220.csr and
S20H0220.csr files found in ~/.wine directory from a factory driver. And
now is working in ekiga also. I can't adjust brightness and colour in
ekiga but it is possible to adjust colour in cheese with effects button
but picture is still a bit dark.
No virus found in this incoming message.
