Hi, The current release does not allow switching from FullCPU back to SimpleCPU. Even though the name is "Sampler" it currently only supports warm-up, i.e., running in SimpleCPU then switching to FullCPU.
We expect the sampler to actually support sampling in version 2.0, which should be out before long. (We'll be distributing a "preview" of 2.0 at our ISCA tutorial on Sunday, but it may be another few weeks before the final 2.0 release is ready.)
