Hard to tell what's happening. If you run under (or attach) gdb after
it seems to be hung, then type 'call setTraceFlag("All")' at the gdb
prompt and then continue, you'll get a trace of what's going on, and you
might be able to glean some clues from there (are the CPUs running at
all or are they hung; if they're running, what functions are they in; is
there any device activity; etc.).
Anbody recognize where in the boot process this is?

Hello,
I am trying to run a multithreaded program on m5.
I am trying to run the threads to multiple cores of
the processor. I have defined 3 cores in the fs.py
file.
The fs.py file looks like -
*******************************************************
system = makeLinuxAlphaSystem(mem_mode, bm[0])
system.cpu = [AtomicSimpleCPU(),
AtomicSimpleCPU(), AtomicSimpleCPU()]
system.cpu[0].connectMemPorts(system.membus)
system.cpu[0].mem = system.physmem
system.cpu[1].connectMemPorts(system.membus)
system.cpu[1].mem = system.physmem
system.cpu[2].connectMemPorts(system.membus)
system.cpu[2].mem = system.physmem
root = Root(clock = '1GHz', system = system)
******************************************************
But when I am running the simulator, it gets stuck. It
never gives me any error. The message where it gets
stuck is -
"scsi0 : scsi_m5, version 1.73 [20040518],
dev_size_mb=8, opts=0x0
Vendor: Linux Model: scsi_m5 Li Rev: 0004
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI
revision: 03
SCSI device sda: 16384 512-byte hdwr sectors (8 MB)
SCSI device sda: drive cache: write back
sda: unknown partition table
Attached scsi disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun
0
mice: PS/2 mouse device common for all mice
NET: Registered protocol family 2 "
What am I doing wrong here ? Any suggestion would be
highly appreciated.
Regards-
Rajdeep
