I think I've heard here something about slow resume from a saved checkpoint.
(e.g. m5.debug configs/myconf/myconf.py -r 1)
Well, the patch is quite simple:
in file: src/mem/bus.cc:
void Bus::occupyBus(PacketPtr pkt)
{
replace:
"""
while (tickNextIdle < curTick)
tickNextIdle += clock;
"""
with:
"""
tickNextIdle = (curTick/clock)*clock + clock;
"""
which gives the same value but much much faster.
you can do it by yourself, you don't need to wait for a next beta. :)
