Hello,
I'm attempting to update my dram simulator to support b4 and am having
some troubles. Previously, I would override recvTiming() and do a full
memory simulation for that packet. Once it was done, I would then call
doFunctionalAccess() and return it to the sender, thus emulating the
atomic access but with a simulated delay.
However, it seems that doFunctionalAccess() only works for shared
reads/writes, so I've had to switch away from that and call
doAtomicAccess() instead, which should handle exclusive reads/writes for
me. This seems to work until it has gone through several million
instructions when I get an assertion error: needsExclusive &&
!blk->isWritable() from cache_impl.hh, line 532. Presumably this is an
invalid state where a block is writable but exclusive. I'm not sure how
this differs from the PhysicalMemory implementation. Any suggestions on
how to resolve this issue are appreciated.
Joe
