A Mile in Another's Shoes
I know you've heard the saying "You won't know a man until you've walked a
mile in his shoes." This next project begins with that statement and will
end who knows were. But the goal right now is to collect at least 5280
photos of shoes. (for those that don't get the pun 5280 feet = a mile; for
those that do get it, I apologize for explaining it.)
Please pass this site along to your friends and family, business contacts,
etc.
Please email me a digital image of your shoes (following the guidelines
below) to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(I will accept old fashioned non-digital pictures as well, but please
contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED])
Guidelines:
* Only one pair of shoes per person.
o You can send many pictures in an e-mail (send yours, your
friends, your parents, etc)
* Send the photo as a .jpg (the higher the quality, the better)
* The image size must be either 800x600 or, preferably 1024x768 pixels
* Please keep the shoes centered and fill about 60% of the frame. See
examples below.
* Keep the image horizontal (landscape) no matter how you photograph it.
In your e-mail, please include the following:
* the photo of the shoes
* your full name
* the full name of the person wearing the shoes (or whose shoes they
are)
* permission to use the photograph in this artwork
* and if you choose, tell me something about yourself, the shoe owner or
why you chose these specific shoes (this is completely optional
