They arrived tuesday and wednesday but when i'd visit this account to comment, i'd be brought to perplexed pause by the sight of the inbox. However, be assured of good reception. Charming to think of my neighbours contemplating these items. The postal lockbox of the building is busted and mine swings open exposing contents to the many passersby. (The superintendent has acknowledged now its busted, and thats the first step, recognizing there's a problem.) But such odd charm, both sides of each, colourful, interesting, artful, and on the high mantel so the addresses will be there for when i acquire correct postage for reciprocal mailing.
As long as i'm documenting thanx, re the discussion of the effort required of the Spanish and Italian and all, "catering" to the english of the list, i'd love to be able to riff off into any number of languages, but it just didn't happen. I can mispel a Chinese question "nee how maa" ( note the absence of question mark, as according to the man on the bus in vancouver maa means question(mark); and i can misspell a Portugese sentence: "Esche ta ua bella vida" ~ it is a good life"" whereas French I can mis-spell many things: "bonjour, jemmepelle jean, je parle francais a la un cauchon mais je travailler dans la tabernacle du l'amour" - that was my accentkeeper line when we left Quebec when I was 9. But probably not enough to help. Bellisimo! Achtung! Instead I will thank also all those ones going to the trouble communicating to essentially unilingual english. And offer something we all share: interesting news: the hubble telescope is nearing the end of its journey. A scientist from the team was on cbc today. Great new knowledge: as we apparently know the universe is expanding. Is it, at a continuous rate; slowing down; running out of steam? No. They have discovered it is speeding up in its expanding. They don't know why they don't know whats powering it. But it's speeding up. I'm neutral toward this news. Still it's interesting. Could our minds be becoming more open? Perhaps.
