Er war freundlich, tolerant und f�r vieles zu begeistern. 1994 konnte ich mit ihm gemeinsam und mit Hilfe von Wolfgang Eigendorf, Birger Jesch und Joseph Huber das Buch "Mail Art Szene DDR 1975 - 1990" herausgeben. Das Buch fand sowohl in Kunstkreisen wie auch in der zeitgeschichtlichen Forschung Beachtung. Es gab zwei gro�e Mail Art-Retrospektiven: 1996 im Staatlichen Museum Schwerin und 1997 im Museum f�r (Post- und) Kommunikation in Berlin. Mail Art war auch in so wichtigen Ausstellungen wie "Boheme & Diktatur" 1997 oder in der Doppelausstellung "Wahnzimmer" im Museum der Bildenden K�nste und "Klopfzeichen" im Zeitgeschichtlichen Forum Leipzig 2002 zu sehen. Au�er f�r die Kunst schw�rmte Friedrich noch f�r das Reisen und das Radfahren. Er erf�llte sich seinen gro�en Wunsch, einmal der Tour de France nachzufahren, war eben kein Fu�- oder M��igg�nger, sondern ein aktiver Typ, auch im Urlaub. Im Jahre 2003 haben wir ihn und Jana noch zweimal in Heidelberg besucht. Im Februar diesen Jahres besuchte er uns in Berlin. Wir sind sehr traurig, dass wir unseren Freund verloren haben.
