Check out our website www.sztuka-fabryka.be and see some pictures of the
action there was at the latest Festival.
Since 1988, the "Independent Arts"-Festival has grown towards an
international known event for any form of creativity. The aim of the
Festival is both to present an overview of independent creativity world
wide, performed by communication networks, and to create a meeting place for
exchanging the acquired experiences. The Festival mainly focuses on artistic
activities performed in scenes such as home-tape, Mail-Art, street art,
small press, . On top of that, video, performance and fine art artists do
get the possibility to exhibit and perform their creativity. As such, the
"Independent Arts"-Festival is unique in its kind.
Issue No. 17 - Saturday 16 April 2005:
Compared with earlier Festivals, last issue 17 (Saturday 16 April 2005)
organised by Sztuka Fabryka and Btime, made a big jump forward. There was
not only the perfect location with lots of space, which we have filled from
top to bottom, with all kinds of artworks. But there were also more artists
present from all over the world. Artists and visitors came from Canada,
U.S.A., Taiwan, Ireland, Germany, France, England, Switzerland, Italy, the
Netherlands, . to meet and to join us in several artistic activities. There
was life graffiti, Mail-Art meeting, artists dinner, workshops,
performances, exhibitions, video, installations, live music, . from all kind
of different art styles and artistic scenes. The weather was cold and rainy
but still we were able to welcome over 500 visitors, a perfect sunny day as
it was one week later would have brought a couple hundred more visitors.
Issue No. 18 - Friday 21 till Sunday 23 April 2006:
Meanwhile preparations for Festival issue 18 have been started, which will
bring more possibilities for artists all over the world. And not only for
the participating artists, as next issue will focus itself on interaction
beween artists and public. The public will not only be able to see but also
to do in various ways. Thus creating the possibility for participating
artists to get in contact with spontaneous creativity and come with their
own creativity in closer contact with the public. For the participating
artists an extra challenge. Issue 18 will last three days and will take
place in a few more locations, with an estimated public of 700 souls. Soon
more news will be made public at the Sztuka Fabryka website.
