"BOOK-ART Project DEADLINE 31 JANUARY 2006 - NO JURY - NO RETURN We would like to kindly invite you to participate in the first Artetica's Mail-Art project, on the theme of Artist's Book and Object Books, that means visual art works outcoming from any expressive characteristics of literary text. All the mail-art received on this theme will be exposed in the Artetica's gallery in Rome (Italy) in a period between February and March 2006 for at least two weeks. The Association will give all the necessary publicity to the event. The artworks are intended to be donated to the Associazione di Promozione Sociale Artetica. All the documentation will be published in the Artetica's internet site. The artists will be able to download all the documentation about the exhibition (with their name on it) in a printable file directly from our website. The documentation will be also sent by e-mail to all the artists that will specify their e-mail address. In addition to this show, one or more artworks will take part in April 2006 in the exhibition organized by Artetica for the World's Book Day of UNESCO with the winners of the "Marque-Page contest" and other famous artists. The submission deadline is 31st January 2006. The works must concern the theme of Book-Art, have to be sent by mail (snail mail), and must include valid contact details (name, address, country, and eventually email and phone number). Any kind of commercial advertisement will be excluded. This is why can't normally send catalogues or artworks back to the artists. We will put all the documentation in our website ready to download and print and will send it by e-mail to the artists for their convenience. (You can see for example part of the documentation of our past show at page http://www.artetica.org/docs.htm and on-line catalogue with images at http://www.artetica.org/selezione.htm) So in the case you would like your artwork sent back to you we will be pleased to do it if you add in the package a so called "SASE", a self addressed selled envelope. If we have to send it back outside Europe you probably will have to go to your post-office and ask a special sell that we can put on the package here in Italy to send the artwork back to you (it can't be a stranger normal sell). In this case we will add printed documentation that will reach you also by mail.
