Assisted suicide's a deeply noble thing
and in its true form would rarely occur
in the circumstances - the majority of circumstances

Assisted life is also good

The weighing of what is self-destructive, besides suicide,
ie., alcohol, tobacco, cars, jet travel, bio-engineered seeds,
"terminator seeds", nuclear war, stress, intimidation,
interminable tension, denuded foods, too little water,
...it's no use singling out one thing and railing on about it,
(tho if I were to I think it might be patent laws on seeds
and 'terminator seeds' and bigtech warmachines)
depends what one is reading,

my greatest fantasias of suicide were in the 80s
when still strongly influenced by suicidal strands of literature
and music and too poor I note for beer -
1 beer store beer and 5 library books
could create quite a vista for youthful thanatos

in the long run everyone makes what balance and blend
of it all individually, and suffer the consequences
perhaps 45% randomly and 55% predictably?

The homeless man who eschews shelter
because he will not be separated from his huge old dog
is always welcome at my subway station
