These are all very good suggestions, especially the one about
abbreviations.

I know of a few projects lately that have been trying to reach out
more, for example the Alyonka Project was hyped in local media, and
Shadow and Evil in Fairytales got a big push from a free web press
release that the host put up at some point.

Many of the people I see mentioning the downfall of mail art seem to
either be missing out on "new" (over 10 years now) web networking
options, or making a short sighted comment based on their own flow of
new contacts. I've only been doing this since around 1996, but I can
say it's at least as strong now as when I started.

Then again, I'm not so interested in being a mail art evangelist. I
think that public interest can grow organically if the mail artists on
the web can start using the internet the way everyone else is, it
seems like a lot of us got to about 1998 level web savvy and stopped??
