I have a couple of thoughts.

At first blush I think...well, I released the art to them...I have to deal with whatever they may do with it.  Now.  With that said, I would prefer to have been told upfront what the long term plan was for the artwork...and specifics...not just "maybe I'll raise money for charity".  I would be very, very upset to find out my artwork is being used to raise money for entity I have issue with...so..,.if the KKK were to set up a fundraiser to cover next years inventory of crosses...then hell no, I would not want my artwork associated with that effort.  Although some people wouldn't mind, I expect my artwork back immediately!

I will say I totally understand the dilemma that art call hosts have.  I'm in it now.  I have some incredible work for a call I hosted this summer and I wonder what to do with it other than host a show.  I still have no answers....but your question about raising funds for a charity really has me thinking about what to do...

Just popped over to the http://www.envelopecollective.com/ (Cool site by the way) and noticed that these fellows seem to be planning on eventually using the envelopes they have collected to raise money for charity. No specific cause has been identified as yet.

Ok, so I know we have pondered about this before, but what do you all think about the rising number of folks who are "selling" mail art for charity???
