Nice Nietzsche quote.

Think about it.

Why do you say that the artist is not in line with the
invitation? Everyone responds differently to
invitations. That you don't know what the art is about
speaks to your failure. That you hide work you
misunderstand speaks to your shame.

Yikes! You know this is along the line of my pet peeve that folks send stuff
that is unrelated to what the issuer of a certain mail art call asks for.
Meaning if they ask for mermaids and folks send motorcycles, this is not a
"misunderstanding". Yes, people respond differently to each call. As for
pornography that is a HUGE subject. I personally think those old postcards
from France are kinda cute, you know the ones, black and white, models with
hats or feather boas, draped over fainting couches. I don't even thin that
the pictures in Penthouse magazine are bad, of course I haven't seen that
magazine in a zillion years. But photos of what people should be doing in
the privacy of their homes for sexual pleasure should be there and not an
answer to a mail art call.

?I like the idea of a?separate binder for stuff like that. Kinda like the
back room at my local video shop for sexy movies.?
