Art Wanted: to support Skateistan, a charity that teaches kids, boys and girls, to skateboard in Afghanistan. We teach kids how to work together across class and gender lines as well as teach them other social and school skills. In an effort to raise funds for our new school as well as get the word out, I am planning a fundraising event in NY for late May/early June. We are trying to pool the great artists to create original art for auction on blank skateboarding decks that we will provide. We have been very fortunate to get some great established as well as up-and-coming talent interested, with a wide range of styles such as Olafur Eliasson to lots of amazing street artists such as Royce Bannon, Peru Ana Ana Peru, Billi Kid, just to name a few.
