hey there everyone. if you are on the eyes free list, I do appologise for you seeing this twice. I wanted to let people here in the states know that boost mobile does finally have an android phone that it looks like we can use. up until october 6th of this month, they only had one android phone. it had no trackball, no keyboard, and no directional keypad. well, I think a week and a half ago, I called them to ask them if they had anything newer, and they do. they have the samsung transform ultra. this phone was selling as of october 6 of this year. in doing a bit of research, it looks like this phone came out near the end of july of this year. anyway. the phone does come with android 2.3. it does have a pull-out keyboard, and for what I am also seeing the home, back, menu, and search buttong on the face are physical buttons. it has a 1GHZ processer, and it would appear that it has 952MB of usable memory in it for storage, meaning your programs that you install too. it has two camera on it too, the one in the back that we are used too, and one in the front. the camera in the back does have flash on it, so things like the barcode scanner should work a bit better too.
I will know more about this phone in a week, as I plan on getting it in a couple days. for those of you that may not know, boost is a pre-paid company, so you do have to pay for the phone, but this phone is 229.99, wich I think isn't bad for a phone with these features. one thing I do know is there is no physical answer call button, so having MA will come in handy for me. if anyone lives in the US, and wants me to do a bit of a demo of this phone when I get it up and going let me know, and I can do a podcast on it. I am really happy about this, as up until now, most of boost mobile phones wern't accessable to us very well.
