I have found that arrowing down once and back up allows you to move to
all where arrowing down to the desired app is possible. once there, hit
enter or select and arrowing around the information screen lets you see
the choices available to you. one of them is clear defaults. as far as
rejecting and answering calls, that won't be effected by this. if
swiping up from near the bottom of the screen to the top while in
portrait mode and from near the top of the screen to the bottom to
reject doesn't work, make sure that in ma's settings screen that under
advanced use volume keys to answer and reject calls is set. Also, make
sure that use system call screens isn't checked as that tends to not let
volume keys perform that function.
Hope that helps. If system call screens is check swiping in the same
direction and near the same location that you use to unlock the phone
answers it, swiping in the opposite direction and in the same location
rejects. Alternative if the screen is unlocked try tapping the bottom
left of the phone's screen to answer and bottom right to reject.

Once there, I should be able to right arrow and I'll then have some
choices for apps I can open and clear to see if this resolves the
problem. If I'm in fact correct, then I've already done most of this,
but when I go to manage applications, I right arrow and nothing
happens. Thanks for your help. Pressing the volume keys stops the
ringer in the phone app on this phone.
