It’s two different operating systems.
The IPhone doesn’t need a third party speech software to make it accessible…
where the android does.
Some people can use a tactile phone protector that can make it easier to
text etc… on the IPhone, but the android we just use the keyboard. Full
touch android phones will be just as accessible as the IPhone.
once the android4.0 comes out.
i hope that helps..

This brings up a question, exactly what can be done in Android 4.0? In
the new features it mentions touch screen exploration, but doesn't go
in to much detail. Is the accessibility api good enough now that a
version of mobile speak could be developed? What about the regular
android keyboard, does a separate keyboard still need to be used? The
only other fully accessible touch screen devices are the IOS devices,
is the accessibility API similar to that now?

The screen of xperia mini pro is very small, I found it difficult to
perform
touch gestures and the keyboard is slightly less comfortable to use.
If you are ready to take that challenge, you can get that device.
From my personal experience, getting a large screen device is always
better,
to give you comforts of using touch gestures and if in case ICS becomes
available for your device, you will enjoy more.
