Even with version 2 of android, I find it quite useable, certainly more useable than many people think. The biggest issue is when apps do not label their controls, and no screen reader can get around that. Even with android version 2, I find that I can do many things faster than on the iphone, and I like the fact that I can connect my android phone to my computer and just copy and delete files like any other drive, the fact that you can't do this on the iphone is a big disadvantage.
