And Wi-Fi, and GPS.
Any of these radios, when turned on, will contribute to power drain.

Another power hungry culprit, that we often forget, is screen brightness.
If you don't have a need to actually look at the screen, go to the display 
settings in the Android Settings area and knock the brightness way down.
