Hi James,
First I would start with the provider and then find the phone that you want with that provider. My fav providers in the prepaid world are: Straight Talk at Walmart! $45/mo unlimited talk/text/web. Second: My Family Mobile again Walmartt: $45/month first phone and $25/mo every phone after that max 5 phones on the plan. Unlimited talk/text. You can buy web a chunk of data at a time. Free web as an intro bonus. I'm a new member to this list. I'm currently a Verizon customer and have the Samsung Haven but am looking to save money. can anyone tell me if there are any accessible phones that work with prepaid plans like Boost Mobile, Cricket, or Virgin Mobile? I would like a phone that can be used for text and web surfing along with talking but really only have to have a phone that I can add and retrieve contacts from as well as talk on. Can anyone recommend any models that would work? I'm trying to save money and get a cheaper bill than I currently can get with Verizon. Also, can anyone tell me how to "unlock" a phone so it can be used on other networks? I have a Haven that I got from Verizon that is accessible now and am wondering if I can use it on one of the cheaper, prepaid carriers' plans if it is unlocked? Thanks in advance for your help.
