okay after a bunch of restarts and double checking the setings everything is back to normal and the update doesn't appear to fix any of the accessibility problems that HTC sense phones are known for. The phone does seem to be a bit more responsive but that could just be my imagination after struggling with it for the past 15 hours. My suggestion is the update should only be downloaded with sighted help to ensure the settings get restored after the update is applied cause they did change my settings and that is where most of my troubles came from.
