I was told there was no way to review things, such as a text message, but then I found one, by accident. For all I know, it's a bug, but it's a good one. If I'm in a text message, and I hold down the menu key, it alternates between characters and words and I can then right arrow through them. I have a physical menu key on my phone's keyboard, so I've never tried this process using the menu soft key on the screen. Good luck.
