I'm using a sidekick and I find that the sound quality on the standard
speaker was pretty good. The speaker phone is not very good. I find
that the volume on it is very low and poor quality. I have also gotten
the same complaints about the speaker phone picking up background
noise. Other than the speaker phone I like it very much. I hope that
helped.

Hi all
I spent some time looking at various phones last night. I kind of
liked the T-Mobile Side Kick.
My largest concern with it, however, is the sound quality.
Calls through the main speaker sounded a bit tinny, even with the
volume set below max.
More concerning was the speakerphone. The person I called with it
said I sounded muffled, and she could hear the background noise
(people talking and playing with other phones) better than she could
hear me.
The audio quality of the speaker seemed about the same as the phone
speaker.
Are these observations consistent with the experience of SideKick users?
Is the audio when, for example, playing music, etc., as unsatisfying
as it was on phone calls?
I'm a bit spoiled by the excellent sound of the Motorola Q9H, which
not only has good speakers, but can reach pretty good volume before
distortion.
Thanks
Luke
