Hello, Gary:

Even ith you’re using the m.a. demo, those buttons should be read.
I would strongly suggest, downloading an app called keyboard tutor. That can
help you learn your keyboard layout.
Also if you are having problems downloading apps, through your mobile
device, because of m.a. not reading out the buttons, then download the apps,
via your pc, and it would install them into your phone, just sign in on your
phone, and also on the website that’s listed below.

Now to answer your questions:
I am not sure how your phone qwerty keyboard is set up, but I will run down
some things that might help you out.
If your keyboard has a numeric roll on top, then the @-simble could be on
the number2. You would just need to hit your fm key, and then hit the number
2, to get that @-simble.
Now if you look at the bottom roll of your keyboard and if you can check to
see if the letter B, is on the right side of that spacebar,, then the period
key would be on the right side of the M, key.
Now if you have a keyboard like I do, where you don’t have a numeric roll
on top, then both the @-simble, and the period key are independent keys.
You will find the @-simble on the left side of the spacebar, and the period
key on the right side of the spacebar.
I hope that helps.
Good luck

Hi Pedro,

I forgot to mention that I am using the demo of ma.
I have another question. I am using an htc status with the qwerty keyboard.
I am trying to set up my e-mail account and was wondering how I would get a
number since my e-mail name has a number in it. Also how would I get the at
sign and period? As you can see I am very new to ma. As always thanks for
your help.

Hello, Gary:

Once you are in the market you should be able to move your arrows up, down,
left, and right, and all these buttons should be read to you. If you hit the
button search, you should be able to type in what you’re looking for, and
then your list of results should appear below, in different categories they’re
in.

If your m.a. keeps reading everything as, “button” then I would like you to
hit your menu button once you’re on the market, and then click on my-apps.
Then go down the list until you find mobile accessibility, click on m.a.
and see if there’s an upgrade. if so please upgrade that first…. Before
pursuing to upgrade or search for anything else in the market.
The m.a. upgrade should be able to have those buttons read out to you.
If you upgraded the m.a., and-or have the upgrade already, then continue
with your search in any apps, you were looking for… by following the steps
listed above.
I hope this helps.
Good luck.

Hi All,

I would like to know how do I go about doing a search in the android market
place? When I go into it I hear two un-labeled buttons. Are any of these
the search button? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks as always.
