the problem it sounds like you are having is that when you leave your wireless connection at home, you are still looking for a wireless signal. To test this, go to apps, settings, wireless and networks, and remove the check box from where it says to turn on WIFI. If you don't see that there but WIFI settings only, go in there and remove the check mark there. That should fix your problem. This is something that needs fixing in future versions of android.

Just remember to go back in and place a check mark on turn on WIFI again to reconnect to your wireless.
