Actually I really wish there were a way that we could copy text to the clipboard. Some googling has informed me that even Android 2.2 has a clipboard and apparently sighted people can copy text to it. I get the impression Google did not make it work universally everywhere within the system, but that in a lot of instances people can touch and hold text to get a menu to select word or select all. I tried on the droid 4 to touch and hold text outside of MA with no sign I was aware of that any menu came up anywhere. I have also read that one can hold down shift and use the arrows. No luck with that either. We especially might want to copy and paste text into an editable field so we could actually examine it by word or by character to see what is there in some cases. Tipical Android crap. Accessibility gaps everywhere. My best understanding is that even IceCream Sandwidch does not provide outside of an editable field for reading by character or by word or to navigate by element or object. I hope MA can fill in this gap even for the screen reader outside of the MA suite. I hope they at least allowed it in the API so that CodeFactory can hopefully use it? Honestly these kinds of accessibility gaps tick me off and I 100% blame google, not Code Factory. Apple had better accessibility on the first day an IPhone 3gs could talk than IceCream Sandwidch still does as far as I can tell from my research. I do not have ICS and from what I read the droid 4 will be lucky to have it by the end of 2012. A bunch more crap.
