HelloBrian
On the phone which I have the bottom row on the keyboard reads as
follows.
Bottom left, alt, shift, question mark, left arrow, space, right
arrow, single quote and alt. Is this the same phone?

Hello Pedro
Thank you for replying to my plea for help. When carrying out
the instructions detailed below, should one have speech when
doing so as I do not have speech when doing so. With regards to
the delete key announcing the deleted character the check box is
already checked.
Thank you once again.
Yours Sincerely

Hello, Edmund:
Happy new year셲 to you, and to all that is reading this.
I am not clear in what you mean by the volume, going into a low
setting.
Is it the voice of m.a. or the ringtone, or the audio when on a
phone call that the sound is low?
What you can do is go to apps, settings, sounds settings,
volume, hit enter, and then move the arrow key to the right to
raise the volume on the ringtone. This can also be done, on the
home screen, arrow down to settings, and hit enter on incoming
ringtones, and there you can use the volume, key to make the
ringtone louder or lower.
On your home screen you should be able to use the volume keys to
raise the m.a. voice. Also when you are on a phone call, and
the caller is not on speaker, without removing the handset from
your ear, you can use the volume key to raise the audio to hear
the caller louder.
Getting m.a. to Read out the deleted characters:
Within the m.a. settings go to text input, and place a check on
speak deleted characters
I hope you find this helpful
Good luck.
warm regards,
Pedro

Hello everyone
I wish everyone a happy new year and all the best for 2012.
On my Xperia X10 phone I cannot seem to get the delete key to
announce the character which is being deleted. How can this be
solved? Also how can I set (MA) so that I set the phone volume
as this seems to be altering occasionally goes to a low setting.
Yours Sincerely
Edmund Dunlop
