If you have android 2.2 you can do a long press of the menu key the
soft keyboard will appear so you can use the touch screen to make and
receive calls.  However, if you have 2.34 or 2.35 cancel Christmas if
your running a HTC phone not sure about samson because the dialer is
not seen nor long pressing the menu key works any more.  Your going to
have to use the eyes-free keyboard as your main keyboard until this
issue is resolved.
