No, I am sorry, I probably was not clear enough. Let' try again. If you want to ssh to the unix host, you don't need to jailbreak, there are apps available, which will let you to telnet or ssh to the unix or linux host from the iPhone and those apps are accessible.
If you would like to ssh to your own iPhone, you need to jailbreak. After jailbreaking you basicly get the unix host in your pocket. Otherwise, again, if you just need to ssh to the unix host, it will work out of the box. Thanks. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Leslie Fairall Sent: Wednesday, June 27, 2012 9:21 PM To: Mobile Accessibility Android Users List Subject: RE: [MA] Android phones with keyboards Hi Igor: Just want to make sure I get this straight. Do you mean that I would have to jailbreak the devices if I wanted to either telnet or SSH into a Unix host from an Android device or IPhone? This is sure disappointing, since that might be something programmers would want the ability to do with their phone. Nobody has created an app for either OS? I thought they had for Android, but it isn't accessible. -- _______________________________________________ ma_mailing mailing list [email protected] http://list.codefactory.cat/mailman/listinfo/codefactory.cat.ma_mailing _______________________________________________ ma_mailing mailing list [email protected] http://list.codefactory.cat/mailman/listinfo/codefactory.cat.ma_mailing
