I decided to give the audible app a try for myself today and its great!
After signing in I was presented with a list of books in my library. I
pressed enter on a book and it was downloaded to my phone.
The settings all seem to be accessible and the buttons too. I got
progress updates on the book being downloaded too.
Once it was on my phone I pressed enter on the book again and was
presented with a menu with buttons to play, bookmarks, info and more.
While the book was playing I looked at the menu and had no problem
accessing the sleep timer with the expected settings of 30 minutes or 90
minutes but was happy to find one for the end of the chapter.
I was also able to set the reading speed without any problem.
I paused the book and when I came back to it a few hours and a phone
restart later, the app remembered exactly where I left off. Also, in the
list of books it shows how much you have left to read on that book.
Shopping for a book doesn't seem accessible but I can easily go to
audible's web site, buy a book and then open the app and download it to
my phone.
I selected the high quality setting in the settings, so my downloads
will be a bit larger buts worth the size. The sound quality is wonderful.
