>From my experience, Android's pretty secure. A lot of phones come with
an antivirus/antimalware program, like lookout, for your protection
should you choose to use it. Most of the concern comes from
third-party apps. It doesn't seem to happen often, but occasionally an
app might be shown to be carrying something malicious to your phone.
Personally, I prefer Avast for Android over all the other security
programs, because it is very accessible with Mobile Accessibility, and
it scans every app you install to let you know if there's a problem.
But to wrap it up, I've been using Android for two years, and I've
never had a problem. Hope this helps
