chris, when you make a call, you can double tap to turn speaker phone
and then press the menu key and you have the stock dial pad up to
enter numbers during a call. you must double tap the numbers to enter
them. to get to the notification screen, you have to exit the ma home
screen and then do a swipe up then left and the notification screen
will come up.

Still hoping to find answers to these. If one chooses to uncheck
the use system call screen in advanced settings and use the volume
up and down to answer calls, is there a way to use the dial pad
while trying to interact with menus such as voicemail and other
automated calling systems?
Also, any progress in getting the show system notifications to work properly?
