[MA] ma questions

Hi, can you have both ma and talk back running at the same time?  In ma 
if you have a contact with a home and mobile number will it merge the 
contacts into one?  is there a way to just use the ma phone app as a 
stand alone app?  Can I use handcent as my messaging app?  will my 
notifications appear in the menue?  thanks for your help.
