Thank you; this is good information. It is true what you say about the
Motorola, as I have had the experience you are talking about when using both MA
and Georgiephone. When having to hold down a little more when double tapping.

Subject: [MA] mobile phones brands to avoid.

Hello, everyone:

I have been working with various types of mobile phones lately, and I have come
across couple of phones that are not user/friendly for mobile accessibility
users.

For starters, stay away from all types of Kyocera Mobile Phones; they don’t
work well with M.A. at all. You would be able to text, and are able to
download apps, without a problem, but you would not be able to answer your
phone whenever you get calls. Using talkback does not work well with these
types of phones when trying to navigate with the phone, or answer calls.

HTC phones are not that easy to work with, but they are manageable.

The best phones I have been working with are:

1. SAMSUNG phones, easy to navigate, answer and end calls. When using the
touch screens, you get a quick and smoove response.

2. Motorola phones, works well with answering and ending calls. Touch screen
work, fine, though, sometimes you would need to hold your finger a little
longer to get it to respond.

3. LG phones, good phones to work with, easy to answer, and end calls, smoove
scrolling with the touch screen, able to navigate quickly and easerly via
keyboard, and or touch screen.

I am sure they are allot more phone brands out there, but these are the most
common , and also the ones that allot of the major mobile phone companies are
promoting in the market today.

If anyone would like to share their own personal experience with these types or
other brands of phones feel free to do so… that way we all can learn from each
other, and know what phones would work best with accessibility, and which ones
doesn’t.

I hope this helps.
